This quick-change, cross-dressing, 3 character version of the Charles Dickens classic is set in a Victorian music hall. Scrooge In Rouge abounds in bad puns, bawdy malapropisms, naughty double-entendres and witty songs.
3 performers of either gender, all of whom will sing/dance and act as various characters.
This is a tour de force for all the performers. Only real showoffs need apply.
11 performances: Opening on Friday November 30/18 to Sunday, December 16/18
Rehearsals: Beginning September 4, three times weekly, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Prepare a comic song, 1 – 2 minutes, to be performed three times as a child, a woman, a man.
Likewise, a short monologue in which you change accents 3 times: preferably English accents like Cockney, Upper Class, West Country, Northern Scottish, Irish etc. American or European ones will not be rejected. You may be asked to learn one on the spot.
Come prepared to learn and perform a short, simple choreographed number.
